Easter: Let’s Emulate Christ’s Service, Sacrifice – Osun Govt

The Government of Osun State has felicitated with Christians in the state, the country and across the world, in marking the year’s Easter celebration, urging Christian faithfuls and every citizen to emulate the sterling virtues of Jesus Christ.

In a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Mrs. Funke Egbemode, Osun government charged Christians and citizens to reflect on the teachings and life of Jesus Christ, whom it described as an example of service and sacrifice.

It harped on acts of love and good neighbourliness, stressing the importance of harmonious and peaceful living among its citizens.

It also called on citizens to seize the opportunity of the season to remain steadfast in prayers for the peace and progress of the State, adding that as a government, it would continue to commit itself to the wellbeing of the people.
