Following a growing concern in the public space among friends and associates over a trending video posted on a fake Facebook account credited to an Imo- born industrialist, business maverick, and respected community leader, Group Managing Director, G.U Ebeco Industries Limited — Chief Ebere Uzozie, his attention was drawn to the mischievous act by internet hackers and fraudsters, who may be using his hard earned name, reputation, and goodwill to defraud the unsuspecting public.

Reacting over the said video posted on GU Ebeco Facebook account created with his name without authorization: the highly established serial entrepreneur, business maverick, and community leader— High Chief Ebere Goodwill Uzozie (Onwa Umuobom), debunked the incitful, divisive, and malicious post posted with his name which he said was targeted at pitching him against his good friend and brother, Nigerian socialite, businessman, and media influencer, Chief Paschal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest.

Speaking with a Nigerian media expert and Publisher of 4th Estate Reporters, Chief Ebere Uzozie, refuted the fake Facebook account and post in strong terms;

“It has come to my attention that a fake Facebook account has been created using my name and pictures to imperspnate me. This account “GU Ebeco” is NOT operated by me. I am not in any way, associated with the messages, friend requests, or posts from this fake account.”

“Please, do not engage with this fake account, share any personal information, or click on any suspicious links it may send. Any claims of offering jobs, financial support, or favours from this account are fraudulent.”

“Below are the only official accounts I operate:

“Having officially disclaimed the fake Facebook account including the trending video, kindly report it immediately to protect yourself and others.

Thank you for your vigilance,
Chief Ebere Goodwill Uzozie
(Onwa Umuobom).”

It will be recalled that Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, who had visited the Abuja ultra modren multi- billion Naira furniture company of GU Ebeco Industries Limited recently, addressed him as “African Julius Berger” with the impressive structure he met on ground during his facility tour at the factory. “GU Ebeco doesn’t just make furniture – he builds lives.”

In a market often dominated by foreign imports, Chief Ebere Uzozie and GU Ebeco stand as proof that Nigerian brands can be world-class, rooted in community, and built for the future.
