#EndSARS Violence: Buruj Sports Academy CEO Calls On Federal Government To Stop Anarchy

Posted on October 22, 2020

It is sad to see the state of the nation in the unfolding tragic experiences across the nation every second. The life of the supposed leaders of tomorrow is endangered all in quest for their voice to be heard, raising up their detest for bad governance and corrupt practices.

The five for five or more is what the youths clamour for and needs ending solution fast actions that need to be taken to put an end to this menace. A lot of lives are being taken on a daily basis with the youths not ready to neither retreat nor surrender.

The CEO of Buruj Sports Academy, Dr. Waheed Salaudeen, hereby calls on the Government and constituted authorities to address the issue in order to avoid the looming war that might surface.

“Nigeria is our country and issues like this needs to be properly addressed. Definitely the demands cannot be met overnight but something needs to be done.”

“Some people are clamouring for UN intervention after 30days but they do not know how this really works and how things are likely to turn out based on what has happened to other nations where the interventions have come in; a typical example is Liberia, one of our neighbouring countries, South Sudan, and then Libya and even Syria. Of Course when the whole menace started, the UN we are actually reaching out to intervene in these countries. Syria is in their 10th year of war and it all started with peaceful protest. As like minds, let’s begin to ask ourselves whether they are better nations now than what they were before the protests. As youths, we wouldn’t want our countries to be ruined. I can perceive another colony calling; if this happens do we know to what extent this can damage a whole lot of our cultural values, heritage, who might also be a threat to us as Africans.”

“The fact remains that the world is actually watching and are all at alert waiting for something to actually happen. Whatever the case may be, remember if this transcends to a war, we the civilians will sweep the rift, losing families, properties and loved ones isn’t good enough as no one is to die for no one.”

“Let’s give the government time to get awakened from their slumber to fix things they literally wouldn’t do.  Once again the world is watching us and a lot being envisaged any countries who wants to intervene would do so having an ulterior motive that may later back fire on us at the long run. Unfortunately, most of us are only looking at things from one and only one direction only.”

“What is happening across the country is alarming as there seems to be a ditch on freedom of movement and expression, the economy is stand still due to the roadblocks causing losses as many Nigerians are petty traders and cannot go to market hubs to continue their buying and selling through which they are able to make little income for their sustenance, don’t forget the so called economy have not been able to stay balanced as a result of the lockdown of the COVID-19, other countries too are dealing with one issues or the other.”

“Is this the true definition of democracy? Everyone jumping on the bandwagon and heading in the same direction. The protesters are not any better than those who they claim are not doing it right.”

“Take some points if you would (whichever party you belong to Protester, Non Protester or Government) or let the country burn to ruins. Remember, whatever you advocate for, in the end, you will have a share of the spoils (whether good or bad).”

“Remember again, you do not know what’s in people’s mind, different people with different agendas; all hiding under the umbrella of #EndSARS.”

“May God save our country and help us out of this situation” Dr. Salaudeen concluded.
