Engr. Kene Iwuogo Emerges President-General Of Abba Autonomous Community

History was made yesterday , Thursday, December 31, 2020, as a respected community leader, trained Engineer and political maverick, Engr. Kene Iwuogo, defeated his closet rival Mr. Chidi Adom, to emerge the new President General (PG) of Abba Autonomous Community, Nwangele LGA, Imo State, in a highly contested but well conducted town union election.

The new President General, Kene Iwuogo, from Umu Osa N’Ori village in Abba Autonomous Community, Nwangele LGA, secured a total 55 votes cast against 16 votes to defeat Mr. Chidi Adom; a popular religious in the Catholic faith and dedicated community leader.

The election was supervised by a high powered Independent Election Monitoring Observers from the Office of the Special Adviser to the Imo State Governor on Political Matters, Chief Dr. Batos Nwadike.

Chairman of the Department of Special Services (DSS), Nwangele LGA and DPO in charge of the Local Government Area were also in attendance to observe the conduct of the election.
