Eze Chika Nwokedi Congratulates Oba Ojoto On Election As New Ohanaeze President

A renowned Igbo leader and Okpoko of Obodoukwu town in Imo State, Eze  Dr Chika Nwokedi, has congratulated Chief Leonard Okafor (Oba Ojoto) on his victory as the newly elected President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State. 

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Eze Okpoko, also known as Oputa Obie, equally congratulated the newly elected executives in the election held on 6th April, 2026.

He described the election as a significant milestone for the organization as Oba Ojoto’s emergence as president marks a new era of leadership.

 

In his statement, Eze Nwokedi, who is the Chairman of Council of Ndieze in Lagos State, described the election as “free, fair, and peaceful”.

 

He praised the electoral committee led by Mr. Calistus Odoemena for conducting a successful election, which reflected the will of the people.

 

Eze Nwokedi advised as the election has come and  gone and the winners emerged, he stressed that it is time to unite Ndigbo in Lagos and have them speak with one voice, believing that Oba Ojoto has the capacity to move Ohanaeze to the next level.

 

Eze Nwokedi congratulated Oba Ojoto and his team, including Nze Edwin Egboka (Eze Eziokwu) as Deputy, Chief Princess Nkem Igwe as Women Leader, and Chief Mike as Secretary.

 

He also commended Chief Solomon Ognonna and Chief Sunday Ossai for promoting peace, enabling the election to take place. He urged other members of the executives to support and show loyalty to the President, Oba Ojoto, avoiding anything that would hinder the progress of the leadership.

 

Eze Nwokedi emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation in Ohanaeze, appealing to all members to pray for the success of the new administration. He noted that the new leadership has a big task ahead, to unite and restore peace in Ohanaeze.

 

The congratulatory message from Eze Nwokedi is a significant endorsement of Oba Ojoto’s leadership, reflecting the confidence of stakeholders in his ability to lead Ohaneze forward. Oba Ojoto’s presidency is expected to bring stability and progress to the organization.
