The Chairman of ethnic traditional rulers and Ezendigbo, Lagos State, Eze Christian Nwachukwu, has urged the Nigerian youths to suspend action and give the Government chance to meet their demands as promised.

He also stated that the ethnic sentiments being expressed on social media were fake news to cause disunity among ethnic groups in Lagos and should be disregarded in totality.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Eze Nwachukwu stated this during an interaction with Journalists on the state of the nation at the Igbo Community Centre in Okota, Lagos.

He noted that the youths have their democratic right to protest but urged them suspend the protest in whatever form and watch if the government will implement their demands as Government had said that they have adopted their demands.

Eze Nwachukwu warned those, who want to cause ethnic disunity between the Igbo and Yoruba, to desist from that because the two tribes had been working together in unity in Lagos State.

He noted that there has been misinformation about the involvement of Igbo in Lagos in the burning of private and public properties in the State as purportedly stated by some Igbo outside Lagos.

Nwachukwu condemned the misinformation being circulated on social media by mischief makers to set the Yoruba against Ndigbo in Lagos and elsewhere in the country.

He directed all Ndigbo in Lagos, who have joined the #EndSARS protest to leave the streets immediately and remain law abiding in the State.

“The truth is that Nigerian youths are angry but they should eschew violence to achieve what they want from Government, good cannot be achieved by destruction” Nwachukwu stated.

He believed that the President has taken some steps to attend to the requests of the Nigerian youths and stated that the whole issue will be addressed to the satisfaction of all parties involved including the international community, who have lend their voices on the matter.
