Eze Nwoye Disassociates Self From Purported Disgraceful Visit To Gani Adams

The traditional leader of Ndigbo in Ejigbo community, Eze Alex Nwoye, has disassociated himself from the purported disgraceful visit to the Are Ona Kakanfo, Gani Adams, that had gone viral in the social media.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Eze Nwoye stressed that he was a self made and a successful businessman, who had distinguished himself in all spheres of life and denounced the claim that he was a hungry man that went to beg at Gani Adams’ residence.
He explained that those behind such posts and linked him with such derogatory statement, made them out of ignorance, wickedness and selfish motive to please the interest of blackmailers.
Eze Nwoye said that apart from the title he holds in Ejigbo as Bobaseru, he holds a distinguished chieftaincy title in his home town, Uga town, Anambra State. He explained that he was conferred with such as he had trained, assisted and established many people as an industrialist and business man who had travelled world wide.
“I can speak for myself. I did not go to Gani Adams to beg for money rather to felicitate with him on his title in Yoruba land” he said.
Eze Nwoye expressed surprise over the report where he was referred among the title: Shameless Eze, Shameless Adult in Lagos, I Wept.He explained that he accepted to be the leader of Ndigbo in Ejigbo in order to assist and touch the lives of people and not for the benefits he will get from the position, stressing that he was happy that he had saved and assisted many people since he became the Igbo leader.
The post, which had been trending in the social media, which was reportedly posted by one Modesty Vitus M Ezenwa PhD, Akwaa akwuru Umuobom, from Ikorodu area of Lagos, narrated what happened at Gani Adams’ residence that portrayed Igbo Eze in Lagos.
He said, “A friend invited me to what he described as a very important occasion. His name, Biodun Daramola, asked me to come over to the Ikeja residence of Gani Adams to  see how my traditional rulers and leaders of my land would disgrace themselves and make mockery of their fake crowns”.
“I arrived the Abule Palace of the new Are Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land, Gani Admas and waited. Few minutes later, the following men wearing red caps arrived;  Eze Ndigbo of Ikeja, Mr. Uche Dimgba; the Eze Ndigbo of Gbogbo, Mr. Livinus Chimezie; Eze of Coker/Aguda, Mr. Jude Ezego; Eze of Ojodu, Mr. Augustine Ebisi; Eze Peter Umeh of Mushin, Odiolowo, Iganmu land, Ejigbo, Agbado Oke odo and the Eze of Iba among others.”
“They came to pay homage to Gani Adams, pledging to work with him. They stood up before Gani. Each of these impostors talked grossly tracing his history and sojourn in Yoruba land and his various escapades. They came short of acknowledging that life would have been meaningless to them without Lagos and that Gani Adams’s support was all they prayed for.”
It is on the basis of the unfounded allegations that Eze Nwoye reacted and disassociated himself from the claims.He said, “I am proud to say, for record purposes, that for what I and my company have contributed in Ejigbo Land and  beyond, I was the first Igbo man to became a council of Chiefs member in the Oba of Ejigbo Palace cabinet and also a respected cabinet member of the Igwe of Uga’s Council Chiefs, a proud representative of my town, Uga, in Lagos State and many States in Nigeria”. “I never lobbied for any of the titles I hold starting from my community in Uga down to Ejigbo and Ndigbo in Lagos State. All were freely offered to me based on what I was able to offer to humanity not minding the tribe or race and  that culminated in being given ‘Ochiriozua’ my first title at the age of 30” he concluded.
