Facebook in partnership with the Computer and Allied Products Dealers Association of Nigeria, CAPDAN, and Newchip, today empowered business owners in a one-day workshop held in Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria.
The training which should have cost about N350,000 per participant, was free of charge for the participants courtesy of Facebook, Newchip and CAPDAN.
The CAPDAN Hall – venue of the event at 4, Medical Road, (Simbiat Abiola Road), Ikeja, Lagos, was filled to capacity with business owners for the 2nd edition of the workshop.
At the workshop, Facebook represented by a trainer, Mr. John Victor, used the opportunity to train Nigerian business owners on how to bring their businesses online, interact with potential clients, maximise online traffic, enhance their business potentials and make more profit in their businesses.
The Business Manager/Senior Tech Officer of Newchip Technologies, Mr. Adeogun Jesufemi, in his presentation took the participants through different aspects of e-commerce, business branding and the use of apps for ease of transactions. The participants were also made to practically apply the tips they were taught during the sessions.

It was also an opportunity for the participants to be introduced to http://chip.ng/ – an e-commerce portal where they can easily market their products and services to the world.
When P.M.EXPRESS spoke with some of the participants, they expressed their appreciation to the organisers of the workshop for helping their businesses through technology at no cost. One of the participants, Mr. Femi, told P.M.EXPRESS that he was particularly thrilled to learn from the workshop that through www.chip.ng he can easily market his wares from the comfort of his house or shop.
