Flawsome, Showmax Nigerian Original, To Screen At 11th AFRIFF

African streaming platform, Showmax, has announced that the first episode of its latest Nigerian Original drama series, Flawsome, will be screened at the 11th Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) on Thursday, 10 November 2022.

Flawsome, a 13-part drama series stars Bisola Aiyeola, Ini Dima-Okojie, Sharon Ooja and Enado Odigie, as the lead cast.

The story follows the lives of four friends, Ifeyinwa (Bisola Aiyeola), Ramat (Ini Dima-Okojie), Ivie (Sharon Ooja) and Dolapo (Enado Odigie), as they navigate their personal and professional lives bound by the flawed yet unbreakable ties they share.

They work hard, scheme, fall in and out of love and nurture dreams both big and small. As their individual circumstances shifts, one thing remains constant: their loyalty to one another and their devotion to the hustle.

The private screening will take place a day after the fireside chat ‘The Jewel Within: Showmax in Conversation with Africa Filmmakers’ on Wednesday, 9 November 2022.

Busola Tejumola, Executive Head of Content and West Africa Channels at MultiChoice Nigeria who disclosed this said, “We are excited to host the cast and other stakeholders to a private screening of Flawsome at AFRIFF 2022. Flawsome is a mirror of some of the most important issues that affect women, across the world, especially in Nigeria. The story has been told beautifully, and we are certain the viewers will enjoy every moment of it”.

The Showmax Nigerian Original series, directed by Tola Odunsi, also stars Gabriel Afolayan, John Dumelo, Baaj Adebule, Iretiola Doyle, Toyin Abraham, Chris Attoh, Ali Nuhu, Joselyn Dumas and Shine Rosman.

Flawsome will be available to stream on Showmax from Thursday, 10 November, with new episodes released every Thursday.

Flawsome is the third Showmax Nigerian Original and follows the critically acclaimed crime thriller, Diiche.

This November, subscribers can also look forward to a line-up of great shows including season 3 of the Showmax Original, The Wife, Season 2 of HBO’s Hacks and all 64 matches of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ on Showmax Pro.
