Fraudsters Hack Senator Adeola’s Dormant Twitter Account

Posted on November 11, 2021

Senator Solomon Adeola (APC, Lagos West), the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance, said that his attention has been drawn to the activities of fraudsters that have hacked his dormant verified Twitter account and using same to purportedly market products to the “people of Lagos and the rest of the world”.

For the records, since the ban on Twitter by the Federal Government, the Twitter account of the Senator @YAYIAdeola has been dormant in compliance to the ban placed on Twitter. As a high-ranking lawmaker, the Senator will not engage in any activity disrespectful of lawful directives pursuant of our national interest.

For the avoidance of doubt, the general public should note that the Senator is not engaged in or in partnership with any organization including Playstation purportedly offering to “sell thousands of Ps5s to the people of Lagos and the Rest of the world” as the fraudsters claimed on his hacked Twitter Account.

Members of the public should note that the offer for sale is a fraudulent gimmick from some criminal minds to defraud unsuspecting followers of the distinguished senator and the offer should be totally disregarded.

The Senator has since reported the incidence to the security agencies for investigation and possible apprehension of the criminals while efforts are ongoing to retrieve the account from the criminals.
