FRSC Pioneer Director, Major Salawu Presents Awards To OYRTMA Chairman & GM

The pioneer Director of Operations, Federal Road Safety Commission, Major Rasaki Salawu (Rtd), over the weekend, presented Awards of Recognition to the Chairman, Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority, OYRTMA, Major Adekoya Adesagba (rtd), and the General Manager of the agency, Ayoade Adeoye, for their contributions to traffic management in Oyo State.
Major Salawu, who is also a columnist and an opinion moulder in the traffic sector of Oyo State, said the recognition was a testament to the agency’s commitment to excellence.
Salawu said he was impressed by Adesagba’s leadership skills and the team’s dedication to their duties.
He recalled how Adesagba had trained the new recruits, instilling in them the values of discipline and hard work.
This experience, Salawu noted, had left a lasting impression on him, and he was eager to acknowledge Adesagba’s exceptional leadership.
“This motivated me to present the Award of Recognition to Adesagba and General Manager Commander Ayoade Adekola”, Salawu said.
In his response, OYRTMA Chairman, Major Adesagba Adekoya (rtd), expressed gratitude to Major Salawu for his recognition, acknowledging his contribution to OYRTMA development.
He also thanked Governor Seyi Makinde for the opportunity to serve, commending the Oyo State government for the infrastructure development and support given to the agency.
Adesagba highlighted the approval of Hazard Allowance for OYRTMA staff, as a motivation to his boys.
Major Adesagba dedicated the award to all OYRTMA staff, emphasizing the importance of teamwork in uplifting the state.
He also announced plans for weekly training sessions to enhance traffic regulation knowledge among officers.
