The event, the first of its kind, was aimed at celebrating the members and their achievements over a period of time.
According to the President of SESC, Prince Okumagba, it was also an opportunity for him and members of the Executive Committee to highlight some of their noble achievements since they were saddled with the responsibility of steering the ship of SESC. He promised that they will remain focused on the task of always cheering the national teams to victory across the world and being good ambassadors of Nigeria. Prince Okumagba added that the club will be at all the remaining football events involving all the Nigerian national team this year.
The Chairman of the event and Legal Adviser of Sports Veterans Nigeria, Barrister Ifeanyi Ezeogba, praised Prince Vincent Okumagba and the SESC Executives for remaining unwavering and very committed in their resolve to offer quality leadership. He charged them to remain dedicated in their support for the Nigerian teams and also look towards securing more corporate sponsorship to make their movements across the world less cumbersome.

The SESC President, Prince Vincent Okumagba, also used the event to induct Mr. Olisemeka Obi, a renowned Public Relations Consultant and Managing Partner of Glorygate Communications Network and Barrister Ifeanyi Ezeogba, Legal Adviser of Sports Veterans Nigeria, as Honourary Members of the Super Eagles Supporters Club, for their support over the years.
