Gov Aiyedatiwa’s Inclusive Health Vision Lauded As Nurses Present Congratulatory Gift To Commissioner For Women Affairs And Social Development

In a show of solidarity and renewed commitment to the health sector of Ondo State, Nurses for Aiyedatiwa/ Nurses for ABAT(O’ Datiwa Nurses) paid a courtesy and congratulatory visit to the Hon. Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Dr. Seun Bosede Osamaye. The group reaffirmed their support for the OUR EASE agenda of the Ondo State Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
 
During the visit, the Director General of Nurses for BAT/ Nurses for Aiyedatiwa, Nurse Arinola Adamolekun, who is also a full time Board Member, Hospital management board, presented the Commissioner with congratulatory packages, including a full first-aid kit, thermometer, blood glucose monitoring system, blood pressure monitor, sphygmomanometer, and a personal weight scale. The nurses, adorned in the RHI Crocs gifted to them by the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu OON CON, during her visit to Ondo State, symbolized unity and health consciousness.
Responding, the Commissioner appreciated their thoughtfulness, describing the gifts as unique compared to many she had received in the past. She noted that “Health is wealth, and no one can truly be productive without being in a good state of health.”
Dr. Osamaye highlighted several upcoming health-related projects that would require strategic collaboration with nurses, including the Health is Wealth Scheme under Ibi Irorun (Safe Delivery Awareness Campaign) and the Nigeria for Women Project. She commended Nurse Arinola for her diligence and sacrifice, reminding the group that though their service may not always be convenient, choosing productivity and altruism over mere rewards sets them apart.
Dr Osamaye further eulogized Governor Aiyedatiwa for his inclusive leadership, noting that his empowerment initiatives are freely given to benefit all citizens. She urged the nurses not to grow weary but to remain steadfast in supporting the administration’s mandate in the health sector.
Speaking on behalf of the forum, Nurse Sunday Agunloye, Secretary of Nurses for Aiyedatiwa, celebrated the Commissioner, referencing Proverbs 20:29 as a reflection of her strength and dedication to duty. He lauded her compassionate leadership and prayed for her continued elevation, even to higher national assignments. He also acknowledged her various initiatives, calling for more socio-economic inclusion of men to ensure balanced community development.
The visit also featured the introduction of Mrs. Adefure, wife of Pharmacist Adefure and a Board Member of the Ondo State Hospital Management Board. She showcased her brand, GRP® Bags, and presented gifts to the Commissioner.
In response, Dr. Osamaye appreciated the gesture and expressed interest in engaging her brand for future skill acquisition training to empower women in bag-making.
The event ended with prayers, words of encouragement, and renewed resolve to strengthen health sector initiatives under Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration.
