Gov Fubara Dissolved Cabinet In The Interest Of Peace – Says Amb. Emeni Ibe

Following the official announcement by the Rivers State Government about the dissolution of the State Executive Council by His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, Executive Governor of Rivers State, the President General of notable Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress, ONC, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe (JP AP), has commended the Governor, saying that his action was in the interest of peace in the State. 

 

 

Speaking in Port Harcourt on Friday 13th February, 2026, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe said that the ONC backed the moves as very impressive, commendable and a step in the right direction.

 

Amb Ibe stated, “We are profoundly grateful to His Excellency, Governor Siminalayi Fubara, for his genuine disposition to peace and his resolve to abide by the recent intervention of Mr. President towards the resolution of the crisis. This is a proof of his visionary leadership and the shared mission of transforming lives across our beloved state”.

 

“We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our people for their continued support to the Fubara led administration.
Our commitment and support to the actions of the Executive Governor of Rivers State remain steadfast. We will continue to champion stronger support systems, equitable access, innovative policies, and the amplification of community voices wherever opportunities arise to contribute to even development, institutional reform, and public service in our state and beyond.”

 

“To the good people of Rivers State across our riverine and upland communities: Thank you for the trust, engagement, and shared conviction that together we can and must build a brighter future and continue to support every action of the governor geared towards maintaining peace and democratic governance in the state.”

 

“May God bless our beloved Rivers State and may we see our great state rightfully and sustainably positioned in economic growth and development” the ONC PG, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe concluded.
