Gov Hope Uzodimma Swears-In New Commissioners

Having been cleared by the Imo State House of Assembly (IMHA), the Commissioner-nominees were yesterday, sworn-in by His Excellency, the Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma at the New Exco Chambers.

Remarkably, the Governor has now upgraded the Bureau of Local Government Affairs to “Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs”, in order to complement on Government’s grassroots developmental programmes..

Gov Uzodimma urged the newly appointed Honourable Commissioners to remain selfless in their service to the State and maintain the integrity upon which they were appointed.

The list of the Honorable Commissioners and their Ministries are:

  1. Prof. E.J.C Duru – Ministry of Environment
  2. Dr. Prosper Ohayagha Success Obinna – Ministry of Health
  3. Prof. Sylverster Ifunanya Okorondu – Ministry of Education
  4. Dr. Anthony Christian Mgbeahuruike – Ministry of Livestock
  5. Barr. Kezie Ogaziechi – Ministry of Lands
  6. Barr. Rex Anunobi – Ministry of Transport
  7. Lady Dr. Love Ineh – Ministry of Housing
  8. Hon. Mrs. Ruby Emele -Ministry of Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs
  9. Hon. Simon Ebegbulem – Ministry of Commerce & Industry
  10. Chief Dr. Okey Anukwuem – Ministry of Special Duties
  11. Chief Ford Ozurumba – Ministry of Labour /Productivity
  12. Lady Ann Dozie – Ministry of Power/Water Resources
  13. Rt. Hon. Goodluck Opiah – Ministry of Petroleum
  14. Hon. Stanley C Obidiegwu – Ministry of Special Projects.
  15. Dr. Ugorji Okechukwu Ugorji – Ministry of Homeland Security / Vigilante Affairs
  16. Dr. Elias Emedom – Ministry of Mines / Solid Minerals
