A Catholic priest and chief proponent of Adoration Ministry, popularly known as Fr Ebube Muo Nso, may be accomplice with spreading the Coronavirus in Anambra.

Anambra, which has garnered dozen of confirmed cases of the coronavirus in recent times, has banned all public gatherings, limited the number of mourners at funerals, imposed a daily curfew and restricted movement in and out of the state, is presently battling in the effort to enforce Covid-19 law signed by the Executive Governor of the sate Chief Willie Obiano.

The Catholic priest, Fr Ebube Muo Nso, has been on the prowl, flaunting the orders, and recklessly breaking the Covid-19 law; he has been on air entertaining massive congregation in his church, in flagrant disrespect to the Covid-19 rules and guidelines established, even by the Catholic Church, and State Government.

Gov Obiano should raise his sledge hammer, through the office of the Attorney General of the state, charge Fr Ebube Muo Nso with having abused the extant laws established in the state for the containment of the deadly corona virus, and  “negligently spread of an infectious disease”.

Fr Ebube Muo Nso has failed to adhere to coronavirus rules following a weekly hosting of thousands of worshippers at his miracle lounge, the Adoration Ministry ground. The Adoration Ground entertains all manners of  people, who are breaking the coronavirus laws of the state, by going out in public without taking precautions.

Fr Ebube Muo Nso should explain to ndi Anambra why he should not be penalised.Anambra is having trouble persuading citizens to comply with restrictions imposed to curb the virus, and the spread of the virus is now on the rise daily. Anambra social media have been awash with stories of people trying to circumvent restrictions, holding parties in their houses and bars, conducting lavish burial ceremomies, chieftaincy title taking ceremonies, church crusades.

Just yesterday, most reverred Archbishop Valeria Okeke was caught on camera holding photo sessions with crowds, after the feast of the Trinity at Basilica, Onitsha, visibly there was no social distancing. Should one remind the Church that we are in difficult times, and should obey government and health experts to win the war against the pandemic?

Fr Ebube Muo Nso should be arrested after failing to observe the rules of curbing covid-19. Anambra Covid- 19 Team should get health workers too to screen all regular members of Adoration Ministry, before it is too late. For breaking the Anambra Covid-19 Law, Gov Obiano should quickly get Fr Ebube Muo Nso  arrested, except the law is a selective type.Ekenem!
