In line with his promise of continuity and consolidation, as well as his Persistent commitment to advancing education in Kogi State, the Chief Servant of Kogi State, His Excellency Ahmed Usman Ododo, has approved the sum of ₦8 billion for the construction of a Senate building, Faculty of Science, and male and female hostels at Kogi State University, Kabba.

This funding is in addition to previous financial releases for infrastructure development at the institution under Governor Ododo’s administration. The approval underscores the administration’s determination to complete inherited projects and prioritize the needs of the state’s higher education sector.

Governor Ododo’s leadership has seen monumental investments in education, particularly in critical and capital projects aimed at transforming the state’s tertiary institutions. These efforts include ongoing infrastructure developments at Kogi State University, Kabba; the Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara, Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba; and numerous other inherited projects that have been revitalized rather than abandoned.

With this latest approval, contractors are expected to mobilize to the site within the coming days to commence work on the Senate building, Faculty of Science, and hostels. These projects aim to provide modern facilities for academic and administrative purposes, as well as enhance the living conditions of students through improved hostel accommodations.

Governor Ododo’s commitment to education remains a cornerstone of his administration’s developmental agenda, ensuring that Kogi State’s institutions not only meet the needs of today’s students but also stand as beacons of excellence for future generations.

By continuing to invest in infrastructure and academic resources, the Ododo administration is ensuring that Kogi State University, Kabba, and other institutions under its purview are well-equipped to deliver world-class education and contribute to the state’s socio-economic growth.
