Gov Soludo Appoints Dr Maureen Uche Umeakuewulu As CMD Of COOUTH

The Executive Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has approved the appointment of Dr. Maureen Uche Umeakuewulu as the new Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Teaching Hospital (COOUTH), Amaku, Anambra State. The appointment takes effect from Friday, 13th March, 2026.

 

Dr. Umeakuewulu is a distinguished Nigerian physician and Senior Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a special focus on Gynaecologic Oncology and women’s health at the National Hospital, Abuja.

 

She brings a wealth of clinical expertise and experience, having served at the National Hospital, Abuja, where she has made significant contributions to healthcare in Nigeria.

 

Dr. Umeakuewulu is a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS), the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (FMCOG), and the International College of Surgeons (FICS)
