Gov Soludo Fulfills His Promise Of State Of Emergency Approach On Anambra Roads

Without much talk but action-packed outings, Mr. Governor, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, is continuing on his promises to give NDI ANAMBRA a befitting roads infrastructure as he flags off more Road construction projects, which included the ever busy Club Road (Abakaliki Street), Regina Caeli, Millennium industry – INEC roads of about 14.48 kms in Okpuno Town, and 5.1kms Abagana – Nimo road in Njikoka LGA.
Together with Ugwu Abga Obosi Road 7.599km.
While flagging off the roads in Okpuno Town, Awka South LGA, he stated that he came to simply deliver on his promises of building a great road network befitting a state capital. He stated that Anambra State has Road Crisis in all the towns and that is why he declared State of Emergency on roads. He said that the state capital will wear a new look as the roads will be a dual carriage with a pedestrian walkway.

He also stated that the all-important Road at Obosi, the Ugwuagba-Mgbuka-Obosi Road that has been a challenge to the teaming masses within the communities will also be flagged off and commissioned within the next 12 months. He added that building these roads will bring about economic growth, and increase in asset values.
He promised to connect the agricultural food baskets, Orumba, Omambala, and Ayamelum axis creating prosperity and lifting the people out of poverty. He tasked the people to keep paying their taxes as this will empower the government to keep building on their promises. He informed the people that for every flagged off road, fifty percent part-payment has been disbursed for immediate take off.

High point of the moment is the handing over of Site certificate to the contractors, who promised to deliver on time and specifications.
