Gov Uzodimma: A Quintessential Peace Maker And A Strong Believer In Imo Development

I have always insisted that it is only those who do not know the man called Governor Hope Nwa Uzodimma or those who are very far from him that can surround their minds with wrong narrative about the man. In fact, to these people, Governor Uzodimma is such a man to be dreaded. They see him from different completely erroneous perspectives. This can succinctly be likened to the proverbial blind man who was asked to describe an Elephant. The blind man described the big Animal according to his blind instinct depending on the part of the Elephant he touched.

But beyond this and in truth, Governor Uzodimma is a peace maker, a promoter of peace  a compassionate leader, an amiable personality and socially savvy. He is very jovial with a native intelligence and highly understandable character. He is a good listener and an advocate of meritocracy in whatever he intends to achieve. He is not troublesome neither does he instigates it in whatever way or form. He is always kind hearted and ever ready to render help to the needy. He is not a noise maker and can hardly join issues with you. Above all, he is very patriotic and a strong believer in the development of the state and he demonstrates his passion to better Imo state at all times.

The problem we usually have in this part of the world is that, more often than not, petty political and premodial sentiments always becloud our sense of reasoning and judgment on some people and circumstances. We view everything from a narrow political interest and this usually hinders us from standing firm on the pedestal of making sound assessment. Otherwise, how can you explain somebody telling you about the colour of the underwear of somebody he/she has not met or even come close to before?

I agree that most of the wrong assessment, falsehood and smear campaign against the man stems from the background of sheer envy, bitter political injury inflicted on them in 2019 governorship primaries of APC and also that of January 14 Supreme Court judgement that swept them off from Douglas House. Besides that, it is inexplicable, preposterous and completely curious why anybody could attempt to disparage such a peaceful and peace loving man in a futile attempt to smash dirty mud on his stainless and sparkling white cloth. Unfortunately, Governor Uzodimma is a man many people know of his good heart before now  and therefore changing that well rooted narrative in the minds of many people is a task too difficult, if not almost impossible to achieve. A good man is a good man. We know who is who in this state.

Truthfully Yours, Nwamkpa Modestus is my name and I approve of this piece.
