Tragedy struck the Nzeji Family of Ngugo Community, in Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State following the gruesome murder of their father – Frank Nzeji and his USA based son, Obinna Lawrence Nzeji.

The duo was reportedly shot dead by unidentified gunmen in military uniform while visiting a friend in Ogoni, Rivers State. The gunmen were said to have swooped on the victims on sighting them and shot them dead right inside the house of their host.

She alleged that she and her other son, Ibeawuchi were arrested, interrogated and later released.

She also explained that the matter had been referred to the Homicide Unit ‘of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Police Command for further investigation.

When contacted on the issue, the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Orlando Ikeokwu (SP), stated that he had not been briefed on the incident which took place outside the state.
