Have You Heard Of The Oba Ji Festival?

Posted on September 6, 2023
There is always a unique way to make sense of the things that matter to us!
Basic Sociology teaches that culture is dynamic, this means a positive cultural practice can grow obsolete and get abandoned if it is resistant to change.
The new generation of Ndi Igbo are constantly looking for new ways of doing old things. One of such “old things” is the celebration of the New Yam, and yam itself as the king of foods amongst Ndi Igbo.
*OBA JI FESTIVAL* is our new way of celebrating an age-long tradition bringing to bare the many values it conveys to life and living in modern time!
Join us on the 23rd of September, 2023 in a carnivalesque celebration of the New Yam. The first edition!
Venue is Dr Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka Anambra State! See Fliers for details
