Hon Amaka Obi To Create Breastfeeding Creches In Offices To Enhance Breastfeeding Among Nursing Mothers

The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon Amaka Obi (Iyom Idemili), has concluded plans to create a breastfeeding creches in the Local Government offices in order to enhance breastfeeding among nursing mothers. 
Hon Amaka made the disclosure at the flag off ceremony of World Exclusive Breastfeeding And Zero Water Campaign.
Speaking at Ojoto, the Council boss noted that the breastfeeding-friendly environments, when created, would enable breastfeeding mothers to take care of their children adequately.
Speaking further, the Council boss explained that the creche would be sheds where breastfeeding mothers would have convenient and habitable environment to breastfeed their babies without disruption of productive periods.
According to her, the places will be equipped with relevant instruments and safety gadgets to ensure habitability in the places.
