Posted on April 7, 2023

In line with his popular campaign slogan, “Ready to Do More”, during the last General Elections, the Lawmaker representing Ikeja Constituency 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu (ARK), has already hit the ground running to fulfil his promises.

What’s new? Comprehensive construction work is about to commence on Ashafa Street, a strategic community road linking many parts of Yakoyo axis  of Ojodu LCDA.

The road is among the projects recommended to the Executive Arm of Lagos State Government for execution in Ikeja 2 by Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu (ARK) as part of his Constituency Projects.

Notification of project commencement was received by Hon. Kasunmu during the week.

Stakeholders on Ashafa Street and environs are expected to have an interactive session with officials of Lagos State Ministry of Works at the project site immediately after the Easter break. Thereafter, full scale construction activities will commence.

Road projects facilitated by Hon. Kasunmu in Ikeja Constituency 2 in the past include:

*Aina St, Ojodu;*
*Mojidi St, Ikeja;*
*Odozi St, Ojodu;*
*Ogunowo st, Ikeja;* *Kasumu Aleshinloye St, Agidingbi;*
*Laide Tomori St, Ikeja* and others.

When completed, a tarred and smooth Ashafa Street will not only boost commercial activities in the area, it will also ease traffic bottlenecks on adjoining streets such as Adebowale, Gbadamosi and Saabo-Alagbole Road.

More details and updates as work commences.
