Hon. Kasunmu Receives Legislator Of The Year Award Amid Standing Ovation 

The official insignia of the Legislator of the Year 2023 Award was presented to Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu (ARK) on Saturday 2nd September, 2023, amid glamour and standing ovation.

Recall that the vibrant Lawmaker  emerged as the winner of the award  among several other contenders in a keenly-contested  poll conducted online by Accolades Awards last weekend.

The presentation ceremony took place at ROMNEY Hall, Ikoyi, Lagos, under a very beautiful and convivial atmosphere.

Receiving the award from Prof. Adeluola Lipede, Hon. Kasunmu dedicated the Award to God Almighty. He also dedicated it to his late aunt and godmother, Chief (Mrs.) Kemi Nelson, the people of Ikeja Constituency 2 and Rt. Hon (Dr) Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa.

Hon Kasunmu commended the organizers for a wonderful job and promised to support their growth from the present level to greater heights.

Apart from receiving his own award, Hon. ARK also helped present a couple of awards including the winner of Best Student Award of the Year, Aisha Omotola Awofeso, the student of Air Force Secondary School, Ikeja, who scored A1 in nine (9) subjects in WAEC

 recently.

During the presentation, Hon. ARK commended the young achiever for her brilliance and being a good product and ambassador of Ikeja.

Hon. Kasunmu seized the opportunity to announce an undisclosed amount of financial support for the young scholar.

Other awardees of the night included Mayoress Samiat Bolanle Bada, (a k.a Pepper Dem), the Chairman of Ikosi LCDA; Prof. Adeluola Lipede and several notable personalities.

Family, Constituents and friends, who accompanied Hon. Kasunmu to the event included his adorable wife,  Princess (Mrs.) Morenike Esther Kasunmu; his father, High Chief Adekunle Olaosebikan Kasunmu and his wife, Mrs. Kemi Kasunmu; Chief (Mrs) Abiola Fashola;  Dr. Muritala Seriki, (APC Lagos State Youth Leader) and

Hon. Ayotunde Adenuga (Leader of Ikeja LGA Legislative Arm).

Others in the ARK entourage included Media and branding personality, Mr. Lekan Oni and a cross section of notable Hon. Kasunmu’s Special Assistants such as Hon. Hon. Ibrahim Babajide Obanikoro (IBO) also graced the occasion to support Hon. Kasunmu.

In his closing remarks, the Chief Operating Officer of the Accolades Awards, Mr. Gbenga Owoeye (a.k.a Charisma), expressed profound appreciation to all awardees, guests and sponsors. He promised to keep recognizing and encouraging citizens who continue to impact the society positively.

Mr. Chux of People’s FM was the MC and the ceremony ended on a colourful note.
