Hon Odunmbaku Presents Ojodu 2022 Fiscal Budget

The Executive Chairman of Ojodu Local Council Development Area, Lagos State, Hon. David Olusegun Odunmbaku, presented the year 2022 Budget to the Legislative Council for assenting and formal commencement of the year’s fiscal plan on Tuesday 15th March, 2022.

While giving his address, the Mayor highlighted that Budget Presentation is one of the statutory duties to be performed by the Executive Chairman of a Council in conformity with the provision of Local Government Administration Law (1999).

“The new Administration is strongly committed towards enhancing the quality of life of the people through the new policy thrust with the focus the key components of the H.E.Y.S agenda which represents Health, Education, Youth & Women Empowerment and Social Infrastructure, in order to achieve a meaningful and sustainable development, with the intent of contributing to the T.H.E.M.E.S. Agenda of Lagos State Government”, Odunmbaku said.

Odunmbaku, who presented the budget of over Two Billion Naira, has promised to make meaningful impacts that would reflect in all nooks and crannies of the LCDA having done all the necessary consultations with all stakeholders in the Council.

In the same vein, the Leader of the House, Hon. Opeyemi Apatira (and other legislators), who played host to the Executive Chairman and other dignitaries in the society, eulogized the Council Chairman for his commitment to the development of the LCDA within the few months of his administration. He also emphasized that the legislative team would carry out all its legitimate duties to further ensure the success of the administration.

While commenting on the performance of Odunmbaku, the masses expressed their satisfaction with the administration.

Present at the event were major stakeholders from various sectors of the Council; traditional and religious leaders, artisans, professionals and captains of industry.
