Hon Ofumelu Felicitates With Nigerian Workers, Condoles With Gov Soludo Over Death Of Aide
The Honourable Member representing Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency, Hon Barr Vincent Ofumelu, has celebrated the entirety of Nigerian workers as they mark the year’s Workers Day. He also condoled with the Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, over the death of one of his aides, Joe Anatune.
In a statement signed by the media office of the Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Humanitarian Affairs Disaster management, Hon. Barr. Vincent Ofumelu, he eulogized Nigerian workers, who he described as the engine room of the Nation, noting that without their commitment, dedication and passion for the Nation, their might not be anything like Nigeria.
He assured that the labours of Nigerians will never be in vain. The lawmaker used the opportunity to call on the Federal Government and private establishments in the country to prioritize the welfare of workers in the country.
The lawmaker also commiserated with Governor Charles Soludo, who lost one of his aides and Managing Director of ANSAA, Joe Anatune, to cardiac arrest, Ofumelu described Anatune’s death as a painful loss to Anambra State and the country at large.
Anatune, whose death was announced on 1st May, 2022, was one of the very few voices and labourers for the Nigerian project.
Hon Ofumelu prayed for his soul to rest in peace and for the family to seek solace in Christ while mourning the death of their Patriarch.
