Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, Funmi Layeni & Six Councillors Receive Certificates of Return From LASIEC

The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) has officially presented Certificates of Return to Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, his Vice Chairperson, Alhaja Kafayat Funmilayo Layeni and the six elected councillors, affirming their victory in the recently concluded local government elections.

 

The ceremony, held at the LASIEC headquarters in Yaba, formalized the outcome of the July 12 council elections, where the All Progressives Congress (APC) secured a sweeping victory across all wards with a total of 23,927 votes in Ojodu LCDA. Hon. Odunmbaku was re-elected for a second term, alongside Alhaja Layeni and six councillorship candidates, marking a resounding endorsement of his leadership and developmental strides in the LCDA.

Speaking during the event, LASIEC Chairman, Hon.Justice Mobolanle Abidemi Okikiolu-Ighile (Rtd.)
reaffirmed the commission’s commitment to credible, transparent elections and congratulated the newly elected officials.

The presentation ceremony was witnessed by prominent party stakeholders, including the Lagos APC Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, who commended the candidates for their dedication and the electorate for their peaceful participation.

Hon. Segun Odunmbaku on behalf of his elected Vice Chairperson and six Councillors expressed gratitude for the renewed mandate, pledging to redouble efforts in advancing grassroots governance, infrastructural development and social welfare initiatives through his HEYSRELOADED Agenda across Ojodu LCDA.
