Operatives of the the Oracle Unit at the Nigeria Police Zone 2 Command, Lagos have arrested a Lagos hotelier (name withheld), who owns a hotel and suites located at Bucknor area of Ejigbo Lagos for allegedly having sex with a 16-year old boy named Chigozie Edozie through his anus twice in his house located at somewhere in Egbeda, Lagos.

Reports said the alleged sodomy later led to the victim losing his mind and ran mad after informing his parents and the police of the alleged abominable act.

Police alleged that trouble started for the hotelier when the victim summoned the courage to reveal the alleged evil act to his mother, Mrs. Catherine Ndidi Amaka Edozie in December 2024 after her husband, Mr. Christian Edozie travelled to Anambra State.

It was alleged that one Balogun, now at large, lured the boy to the hotel at Ejigbo where he met the hotelier who later took him to his Egbeda duplex where he allegedly had sex with him through the anus twice and warned him not to inform anyone of the act or else he would run mad.

Surprised at his Son’s confession, Police said Mrs. Edozie quickly called her husband who was away in Anambra on phone to come back to Lagos to hear what his Son was saying.

Police further said that the father of the victim, Christian Edozie rushed back to Lagos on 5 January 2025 to confront his Son of what happened. After narrating the incident to him, he quickly took his Son to the Isheri Oshun Police Station to report the matter where the victim later wrote his statement.

Police said that Edozie claimed his son became mad shortly after writing statement at the Police Station in Isheri and that when he observed Police operatives in Isheri Station were not willing to arrest the accused hotelier his Son mentioned in his statement, coupled with the conditions of the boy going worse, he petitioned the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Adegoke Fayoade in charge of Zone 2 Command who swiftly directed his men to arrest the hotelier.

Police said that operatives stormed the suspect’s hotel to arrest him but the suspect allegedly escaped through the back exit.

The suspect, according to the Police, later reported himself to the police with his lawyer and he was immediately arrested  and detained.

Police alleged that during investigation, the suspect allegedly admitted that he knew the victim in his hotel but that he never had any sex with him, adding that the suspect would be charged to court after investigation of the matter.

Efforts to contact AIG Fayoade for comment was not successful as of the time of going to the press.
