How 2 Members Of Deadly Armed Robbery Syndicate Were Arrested During Operation

It was the end of the road for two  suspected armed robbers, Adeola Omosebi, 24 and Yusuf Faruk, 20, while the third member of the gang managed to flee the scene of the robbery after they were apprehended during an operation in Lagos State. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspects were arrested by the Lagos Neighborhood Safety Corps in Ogolonto, Ikorodu area of the State and were said to be members of an armed robbery gang terrorizing the inhabitants of Ogolonto and its environs.
The men of the Lagos State Neighborhood Safety Corps, responding to an early morning distress call from residents on Oba Sekumade Road, swung into action and apprehended Omosebi and Faruk while the third member of the gang managed to flee the scene of the robbery.
During interrogation, it was discovered that one of the suspects, Yusuf Faruk, had been invited by the gang from Mushin, while the apprehended suspects confessed to have been mobilized with the sum of N6, 000 by the receiver of the tricycles who operates from Mushin.
The two suspects have been transferred to the Police for further investigation, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend the other member of the gang and their sponsor now at large.
In a brief reaction, the General Manager of the Lagos State Neighborhood Safety Agency, Dr Ifalade Oyekan, commended the officers for their quick response and called on residents of Lagos to be vigilant as the yuletide season approaches.
He stated that the Agency will continue to serve residents of Lagos State diligently within its mandate and in line with the directives of the Governor, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
Meanwhile, the suspects are being held at the Anti-robbery Unit of the Lagos State Police Command, where they are being interrogated over their alleged involvement in criminal activities in the State.
Police sources said the suspects will be charged before the Court for the alleged offence while efforts are being made to arrest their gang members said to be at large.
