Facts have emerged how a 23-year old man, Isaac Oluwaseun, allegedly murdered a 16-year old boy, David Baruwa, and hid his corpse inside his wardrobe before he was caught in Lagos State.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Arobaba Street, Idimu area of Lagos where the suspect resides with the victim’s parents.

Police detectives from the SCID, Panti, Yaba, Lagos, have already arrested the suspect Oluwaseun and detained him for investigation over the circumstances that led to the murder of the deceased he allegedly kept inside wardrobe.

He was said to have used a plank to hit the boy’s head, he slumped, eventually died and then he secretly took the corpse to his apartment and hid inside his wardrobe.

However, the matter got exposed after the parents of the boy started looking for him, which Oluwaseun was said to have joined as one of their neighbours, before the boy was traced to him.

The Police was contacted and they went to his apartment, recovered the corpse, arrested and transferred him to Panti for interrogation.

Police sources stated the investigation is looking in the direction where he might have murdered the boy for ritual purposes because he would not have had the corpse inside his apartment.

However, he has been charged before the Ebute Meta Magistrates for murder.

At the Court, the Police moved a motion by the prosecutor, Inspector Loveth Edobor, for the defendant to be remanded in custody pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice.

Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. O. Akingbesofe, ordered his remand in correctional centre pending when the DPP report will be ready to determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction

The Court also directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP. The defendant may spend several years in custody if the DPP finds him culpable and recommends his trial before Court the alleged murder.
