A 32-year old man, Oladimeji Samuel, has landed in trouble as a result of anger after he allegedly used a sharp iron object and hacked a woman, Oladele Temitope Ogbagbemi, to death during a heated argument in Lagos State.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Samuel, has been arrested, now facing charge for murder and may likely spend the rest of his life in custody for the alleged offence.
The incident happened at Olowoleye Crescent, Obawole area of Lagos, where they reside.
According to Police sources, the suspect, Samuel, had a disagreement with the late Ogbagbemi over an undisclosed matter. In the process, he used the iron on her and she slumped.
She was rushed to an undisclosed hospital for treatment but before she was taken to the hospital, she was already dead and the doctors merely certified her dead and her corpse was deposited at the mortuary for autopsy report.
The matter was reported to the Police in the area and Samuel was arrested and transferred to the SCID, Yaba, for further investigation over the death of the lady.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found him culpable and subsequently charged him before the Yaba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
When he was arraigned, the Court did not take his plea following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Supol Rita Momah, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice as the alleged offence is punishable by death or life imprisonment.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. Adeola Olatunbosun, ordered his remand in the Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when the DPP’s report will be ready and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP.
The matter was adjourned pending the outcome of DPP’s advice, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
