A 19-year old Chibuike, son of Late business mogul, Ikechukwu Ozoemena, has narrated how his father died of a strange illness and his aunt, Mrs. Jane Uchendu (nee Ozoemena), burgled his shop in ASPAMDA market at Trade Fair Complex and carted away $700,000 Dollars in Lagos State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Chibuike narrated this in his hideout while crying out that his life and that of his other siblings and the mother, Chinwe Vivian Ozoemena, were in danger over threat to their lives in order to take over their father’s property worth billions of Naira.
An embittered Chibuike revealed that upon the death of his father in a rather suspicious manner, his aunt, Mrs. Jane Uchendu, went straight to the shops at ASPAMDA Market on a Sunday, forced her way into securing the valid documents inside the shop which included birth certificates, the family international passports which had visas and $700,000 Dollars cash.
“She visited Ikechukwu’s residence at Raji Razaki in FESTAC town, Lagos, towed away all 7 cars, which included Toyota Hilux 2019 model, Lexus GX490, Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, others cars and some properties.”
Master Chibuike, who was in tears, stated that since 2021 no members of the father’s family has confirmed his father’s death to him, his mom and other siblings, instead all they see are posters of him wanting to be buried like a bachelor with no reference to his wife and kids as seen in many burial poster inscriptions.
He recounted the trauma they faced and the ill treatment meted out on his mother and siblings after the father’s death while alleging that his supposed aunt, Jane Uchendu, his uncle, Chukwuma Sebastian Ozoemena, Ifeanyi Eze (cousin), other extended unknown cousins from Ichida, Aniocha Local Government Area in Anambra State have perfected plans to transfer of all his late father’s properties by every necessary means including a Court order in agreement with the kindred to Jane’s name leaving the children out of their father’s properties and proper care.
He explained that his father died in 2021 while he was still in SS2 and he had plans to spend the holidays with him as both parents were temporarily separated but not divorced and lived in different places. He revealed that the circumstances surrounding his father’s death were very suspicious.
He further explained that his aunt, Jane, employed a maid after his mother was forced out from her matrimonial home. And shortly after, his father fell ill and  when it got worse, the aunt, Jane alone took him to the hospital without telling either the wife or anyone at all.
Meanwhile, the family was aware of a reconciliation plan between the two as they were not divorced; they only needed to stay apart for a while due to irreconcilable differences orchestrated by Jane Uchendu at that time.
Chibuike stated that they only knew about the father’s death through rumours because the supposed aunt, Jane, was bent on not telling anyone about his condition until he died. And when his mother consistently asked about him, it led Jane to blurt out the statement, “Go and check the mortuary if you are looking for your husband”.
The billionaire’s son further explained that his mother contacted the Police and both families were invited to FCID, Alagbon, where the case was handled and resolved on the basis of conducting an autopsy on the corpse, which his mother and siblings never saw.
He disclosed that Jane Uchendu with the support of members of their kindred defiled the resolution and went ahead to bury the corpse without conducting an autopsy and thereafter confiscated all his properties including landed properties and they were forced to drop out of school because there was no money to pay for their school fees.
Chibuike is calling on the Police to  investigate the circumstances and controversies surrounding his father’s death and let the perpetrators be brought to book.
“Many unknown cousins sprang up planning on how to share my father’s property. Mrs. Jane has gone to probate court to give false information so as to get my father’s properties transfered to her name using the kindred as a back up.”
“The Court didn’t know that the company documents was in my mother, I and my siblings name if he didn’t write a will, he already allocated the company and properties legally to the wife and children.”
Mrs. Chinwe Vivian Ozoemena, the wife of Late Ikechukwu Ozoemena, also affirmed that she is suspicious of her husband’s family over the manner they took over his property. She explained that her late husband was a sickle cell victim but aged above the crisis at 49.
“He never had coughing sickness but was coughing seriously the last time we spoke which aroused some worries. He confirmed to me that he was getting weaker by the day before his death” she said.
Meanwhile, Police operatives have arrested Mrs. Jane Uchendu last week and the Police have commenced investigation over the allegations as the deceased shop has been opened to his wife and children following the order of Federal High Court by ASPAMDA Market leadership.
Mrs. Jane Uchendu is reportedly married to an Umuawulu man in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
