A Pastor, identified as Nnamso Friday Jacob, who allegedly drugged and raped a 16-year old girl in his church during deliverance, has blamed a ‘strange spirit for his despicable act.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the 35-year old ‘Man of God’, who is popularly known as Major Prophet Honesty Jesus, of the Living Power of Zion Church located at Ndue Eduo, Okon Eket, Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, reportedly drugged the unsuspecting teenager, who was brought to his church for deliverance on Tuesday, June 23, 2020.

During the counseling session, Pastor Jacob was said to have administered a substance suspected to be drugs and forced her to drink it, which made her become unconscious and slept off.

Thereafter, he allegedly forcefully had carnal knowledge of her while still in deep slumber. She later woke up with blood gushing out of her private part and promptly raised alarm which attracted sympathizers following which the Police invited him for interrogation over the act.

During investigation, Jacob lamented getting himself involved in such act. “Please forgive me, I did not know what overcame me, I think it was a strange spirit. I really, am sorry” he begged.

The Police Command through the spokesperson, N-nudam Fredrick, who confirmed the act, said the Pastor would soon have his day in the Court. He added, “While the young girl was in the prophet’s counseling room, the suspect administered an intoxicating liquid substance and thereafter took advantage of her defenselessness and had unlawful carnal knowledge of her. This is the second Pastor to be arrested for rape in the State in less than a month; so the Command won’t take this act lightly”.

Pastor Jacob will be charged for defilement which attracts several years of imprisonment if he is tried and found guilty before the Court.
