How Senior Police Officer Was Killed By Motorcyclist

A senior Police officer, an Assistant Commissioner of Police attached to Zone 6 Police Headquarters Calabar, Cross River State, ACP (Barr.) Vivian Chinemerem Aworonye, has been reported killed by a commercial motorcyclist in Calabar metropolis.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the senior Police officer, who had no accommodation in any of the Police Barracks, decided to stay within Zone 6 Headquarters in one of the offices.
When the incident happened, she was said to be crossing from Zone 6 Headquarters to the other side of the road at about 6:30pm when a motorcycle rider hit her over the weekend.
She fell on her head and was rushed to Bakor Hospital, a private facility located about 1.5 kilometers East of the Headquarters. She was referred to the Psychiatrist Hospital, considering the head injury but later passed on to the Teaching Hospital.
Before her sudden death, ACP (Barr) Vivian Chinemerem Aworonye was on transfer from the Force Legal Department, Abuja. She was the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Department of Finance and Administration.
The Cross River State Government had earlier reiterated the ban on the use of motorcycles within the Calabar metropolis before the ugly incident, which took the life of the senior Police officer.
