It has now been revealed how some top members of the Synagogue Church of All Nations at Ikotun, Lagos headquarters, kept salvation aside and massively looted millions of Naira and foreign currencies within minutes of the demise of the founder, Prophet T.B. Joshua.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the late Prophet Joshua died around 1am that fateful day. And within some minutes, the top members, who know the movement of monies in the Church, started looting and eventually carted away hundreds of millions before the looting was brought under control.

According to sources at the church, the looting was not perpetrated by the finance department of the church but the so called disciples of the Church, known as wise men, created by late Prophet Joshua.
The disciples in question were said to have immediately left the church and have now established their own ministries with the stolen monies.

On why it was possible to keep such huge amount of money inside the church, the sources stated that foreigners lodge in the guests rooms provided by the Church and they pay in dollars including donations from people, which are usually in cash. So it was not strange to find such huge amount of money in the church considering the high population of followers coming from different parts of the world.

The Church’s top management, led by their new leader and wife of late Prophet Joshua, is not taking the massive looting lightly as they have written a petition to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, which has commenced investigation into the petition from the Synagogue Church of all Nations against some members of the church.

In the petition, the church claimed that it discovered huge financial misappropriation involving some church workers and disciples, but denied reports that they were detained by the new SCOAN Board of Trustees Chairperson and leader, Evelyn Joshua.

The statement read in part: “In view of the discovery of huge cases of financial misappropriation perpetrated in the past few months, reckless individualism and unimaginable acts grossly antipodal to the sanctuary with the passing of the founder, the church’s leadership took steps to secure certain critical assets of the church with an authorisation for a comprehensive audit of the activities of the church”.

“This exercise involved some category of church workers, including disciples and it is being carried out objectively under a regular and normal environment without any harassment whatsoever to any person or group of persons.”

Meanwhile, the investigation is ongoing and any person found culpable will be made to refund the money and will also be prosecuted according to EFCC.
