Facts have emerged how two men, Damilare Oyeniyi, 30 and Emmanuel Okori, 20, allegedly lured their neighbour into an apartment, gang raped her and recorded the action in order to blackmail her.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Sango area of Ogun State, where they reside.

The matter was reported to the Ogun State Police Command and four days later, the suspects were arrested by the Police operatives from Sango Division for interrogation.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the arrest and said that the suspects are in Police custody undergoing interrogation.
Oyeyemi explained that the suspects were arrested following a report to the Sango Police Station by the victim, who revealed that the suspects, Oyeniyi and Okori, who were her neighbours, lured her into the apartment of one of them, stripped her naked, captured her nakedness with their phone and threatened to post it on the social media if she proved stubborn.

They raped her one after the other, recorded the action and having satisfied themselves, they allowed her to go but warned her not to tell anyone what happened.

Oyeyemi said, “Upon the report, the DPO Sango Division, CSP Godwin Idehai, commenced investigation; eventually trailed and arrested the suspects on December 16, 2020”.
“During interrogation, the two suspects confessed and admitted that they recorded her nakedness, which they used to undermine her not to report or, in all likelihood the video would be posted via online media.”

The State Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun, has directed prompt action and that the suspects be transfered to the Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation and prosecution.
