A married woman, Mrs. Ajuese Obiora, was reportedly humiliated, stripped naked and paraded publicly over her husband’s death during sex romp with her.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Aguleri community in Anambra State, where they reside.

According to an eyewitness, the woman was said to have been engaged with the late husband in a sex romp while he was not feeling fine and he died during the act but she denied it.

However, the community alleged the woman to have killed her husband knowing fully that he was sick and went ahead to engage him in the romp. There was also allegation of extramarital affairs, which could not be substantiated by her accusers.
She was disgraced and stripped naked publicly, which has attracted condemnation on the social media by different groups.

One of such groups is the Women Arise For Change Initiative, which condemned stripping a widow naked in Aguleri.

The group made the remarks in a press release issued in Awka, Anambra State, endorsed by Comrade Evangelist Vincent Ezekwueme and Evangelist Chinyere Uzoma, Chairman and Secretary respectively.
The group decried with great disdain the barbaric, insensitive, inhumane and despicable act as the worst form of irresponsibility and lawlessness.

“It is very unfortunate that in this 21st century dignity, honour and respect for women were trampled upon, just few days after celebration of International Women’s Day. We are not in a state of nature in which the might is right. It is pertinent to note that there is constitutional means to seek redress and not for citizens to take laws into their hands. Government should leave no stone unturned to ensure that perpetrators of the evil and barbaric act are brought to book to face the full wrath of the law in order to be a deterrent to others.”

“We commends those who are agitating for justice for the widow especially Minister of Women Affairs, Mrs. Pauline Tallen, National President Women Arise For Change Initiative, Dr. Joe Odumakin, Anambra First Lady and Commissioner for Women Affairs and others.”
“According to Rev. Martin Luther King Jr, Evil triumph not because of those who do it, but because good people sit back and do nothing. In addition to the wise postulation of Archbishop Desmond Tutu, ‘We are murderers the moment we see evil and failed to speak against it.”

“Let us unite more than ever before to fight against this despicable human rights abuses, immorality and lawlessness” Ezekwueme posited.
