Notable Igbo King Maker and President of Wrestling Federation of Nigeria, Chief John Uche, may have gone into hiding  following alleged plans by his landlord, Prince Adeola Atinuke, to kidnap him before 15th August, 2024.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Chief Uche, who is the founder and first President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State, has raised alarm over the alleged threat by Prince Atinuke, who is the manager and landlord of Atinuke Plaza located at Okota Road, Isolo area of Lagos.
Thus, the Wrestling Federation has written a petition to the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 2 Onikan, Lagos, against Prince Atinuke, who was described as a leader of notorious hoodlums causing havoc in the Isolo axis.
The petition was written to the AIG, dated 3rd July, 2024, seeking for protection from Prince Atinuke because the threat was real and he had done it to other tenants in the past.
The petition stated:
“Dear Sir,
PETITION AGAINST ONE PRINCE ADEOLA ATINUKE, THE MANAGER  ATINUKE NIG LTD FOR A CASE OF THREAT TO LIFE AND CONDUCT LIKELY TO CAUSE BREACH OF PEACE.
My name is Chief John O. Uche, the President, Nigeria Professional Wrestling Federation (NPWF). I write to bring to your knowledge and your office regarding despicable several threats to my life and conduct likely to cause breach of peace by Prince Adeola, the manager of Atinuke Shopping Complex of 95/129 Okota Road, Isolo Lagos.”
“The crux of the matter was that we are tenants of the plaza and had been paying our rent as and when due. But each time a tenant complained of any problem arising from the shop or apartments that needed immediate attention or repair, instead of taking up his responsibility and put the house in order, he will prefer to fight the tenant and ask him to leave. He does not believe in lawful process rather the next he will do is to assemble hoodlums to beat and evict the tenant by force and I have witnessed this actions severally.”
“He is a habitual violent character that always take laws into his hands without consideration. I have been complaining to him for the past three years about the leakage of the roof of my apartment and the damage of my important documents whenever it rains especially at night when everybody has gone home, which he paid no attention to. Recently, I went for an important assignment to Abuja and on my return I met my important documents soaked as a result of leakage from the roof and I complained to him. Instead of sympathy, his reply was that I should leave the place with immediate effect. When I asked him why that kind of reaction, he said he doesn’t want me anymore. He threatened to the extent that I should not pay money into his account and that if I failed to leave on or before 15th of August 2024, that he will engage his boys to throw my loads outside the apartment. He even vowed to kidnap me very soon and even swore to carry out his threat. Sir, this is a man who always carrys out his threat because he trains criminals in the complex, harbour them within the plaza and makes use of them for his bad jobs. Therefore, he has capacity to carry out his threat. But as a law abiding citizen, who does not take laws into his hand, I have refused to be provoked by Prince Adeola ATinuke and his cohorts noxious antics.”
“I shall continue to count on your dependable and result oriented intervention. It is on the strength of this, I decided to petition this act of confusion and lawlessness. Consequently, upon the foregoing, this has become necessary with passionate appeal to use your good offices as a proficient Command with view to cause a comprehensive investigation into this matter for the interest of justice.”
Thank you sir,
Yours faithfully, Chief John O. Uche President NPWF “
