The concept of Igbo Ruo Ulo Edozie Alaigbo Development Union Worldwide (IDUW) led by the Founder and National Coordinator, Chief Obioma Nnazor (Agu Eji Eje Mba), on sensitization and  championing the clarion call for Ndigbo to concentrate developmental initiatives and resources home to make the Southeast a model, is gaining momentum in Nigeria and diaspora.
P.M.EXPRESS reports as was disclosed by the National Coordinator,  Chief Nnazor, during an interactive session with select media houses in Lagos State.
He explained that the group is apolitical with tentacles reaching Ndigbo across the world with the unique vision to catalyse accelerated development of Igbo land as well as the strongly believing in national integration that keeps the Nigerian nation as a united and truly prosperous country.
Chief Nnazor made it clear that Igbo Ruo Ulo Development Union Worldwide does not fan embers of ethnic or regional bias, but rather seeks to foster the socio-economic prosperity, supremacy or sovereignty of the Igbo land as a place capable of setting an enviable developmental standard, worthy of emulation by other regions and States in Nigeria.
He noted that Ndigbo are creative, blessed and innovative to make things happen in any environment they find themselves and the group wants translations of the talents and gifts to refund in Igbo land through aggressive development in the entire Igbo land.
“We are a people of industry and entrepreneurship distinction, who have the magic wand to turn coal to diamond anywhere we find ourselves.
God has used nature to endow ‘Ala Igbo’ so much that it is like every and anything good comes from there.”
However, Chief Nnazor posited that while Ndigbo are investing in other areas both within and outside the country, they should not forget Igbo land where they come from and that was why God gave the ‘Think Home’ revelation through him. After the revelation, the group was formed and has been moving from one State to another preaching the gospel of Igbo Ruo Ulo, Ka Edozie Ala Igbo.
Nnazor noted that Igbo land needs strategic development with urgency because when wealth is kept far from home, the impact of that wealthy person can never be felt by his kinsmen in his homeland.
“It is for this reason that ‘Igbo Ruo Ulo’ are mobilizing Igbos everywhere to emulate the values of the Chinese who take their homeland as priority before any other place they reside.”
He explained that the union’s slogan, “K’ ANYI DOZIE ALAIGBO” speaks volumes of the core mandate and mission statement of the union, which has yielded results as many Igbo have embraced the concept.
He further explained that the Southeast Governors have equally accepted the concept and mapped out huge expanse of land for development in the States including Anambra, Imo, Enugu, Ebonyi,  Abia, they guaranteed the security of any investments in Igbo land.
Chief Nnazor explained that the official headquarters of IDUW is in Enugu town in Enugu State and they have offices in cities like Lagos, Kano, Abuja, Kaduna, Kwara, Kogi and all the state capitals in Southeast and Delta State.
