Leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ijebu East Local Government Area have reaffirmed their support for the Ogun State APC Governorship Candidate, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola during a strategic consultative meeting held in Abeokuta.

The meeting, which brought together party leaders, elders, political stakeholders, and members from Ijebu East, was convened as part of ongoing engagements aimed at strengthening unity, deepening grassroots mobilization, and ensuring inclusive participation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Addressing the gathering, Senator Adeola said the meeting was necessary to appreciate party members for their support following his emergence as the APC governorship candidate and to further engage stakeholders on the need for reconciliation, inclusion, and collective commitment to the success of the party.

He emphasized that politics is driven by interests and relationships, stressing that no genuine member of the party should be left behind. According to him, the APC must continue to operate as one united family, where all leaders, members, groups, and interests are recognized and carried along.

Senator Adeola also introduced his Deputy Governorship Candidate, Mrs. Kudirat Abiodun Adegunwa-Balogun, to the stakeholders, describing her selection as a product of careful consideration, competence, experience, and capacity to contribute meaningfully to the governance of Ogun State.

He urged party leaders in Ijebu East to work together, resolve differences, strengthen ward-level structures, and mobilize effectively for all APC candidates in the forthcoming elections. He also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the local government and ensuring that all legitimate interests within the party are protected.

The APC governorship candidate further called for total support for Governor Dapo Abiodun’s senatorial ambition in Ogun East, noting that the party must approach the coming elections with unity, discipline, and a shared determination to deliver victory across all levels.

Speaking at the meeting, party leaders including Chief J.O. Ogundeko, Chief Aloro, Baba Ariya, Hon. Kunle Onamusi, and former Deputy Governor, Prince Segun Adesegun, commended Senator Adeola for convening the engagement and for promoting an atmosphere of openness, reconciliation, and inclusion.

They acknowledged that the meeting had provided a timely platform for frank discussions and renewed understanding among stakeholders, expressing confidence that the APC in Ijebu East would emerge stronger, more united, and better prepared for the elections.

The stakeholders pledged their loyalty to the party and assured Senator Adeola of their readiness to work collectively towards delivering Ijebu East for the APC. They also promised to return home, deepen reconciliation, strengthen grassroots structures, and mobilize support across the wards.

In his closing remarks, Senator Adeola thanked the leaders and members for their sincerity, assuring them that he would continue to run an inclusive political structure that respects party leaders, empowers members, and gives every stakeholder a sense of belonging.

He maintained that Ijebu East remains important to the APC’s victory plan and urged all members to embrace the spirit of unity, cooperation, and collective responsibility as the party prepares for the 2027 elections.
