The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members serving in Ikeja Local Government yesterday paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), at his Ikeja House office.

The official visit, which is the first of its kind since Comrade Dauda assumed office, was led by the Local Government Inspector (LGI), Mrs. Abosede Ojimi.

During the visit, the corps members presented a gift to the Chairman as a mark of respect and solidarity.

In his response, the Council Chairman appreciated the gesture and charged them to serve their fatherland with dignity, honour, and pride.

The corps members also made requests concerning their welfare both within the council premises and in other areas.

Comrade Dauda assured them that their concerns would be looked into, reaffirming that his administration’s focus on youth development and empowerment remains central to the I.K.E.J.A AGENDA.

This familiarization visit is a clear testament to the fact that Chairman AKOD is a youth-friendly leader who is living up to his promises to support, guide, and empower young people across Ikeja. Present at the meeting was Hon. Salami Idris, Honorable Councillor representing Ward D, Ikeja Local Government.
