Ikeja LG Boss Attends Patjeda Group Inaugural Media Chat On CSR & Sustainable National Development

The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), on Wednesday, attended the inaugural Media Chat organized by Patjeda Group, where he featured as a Special Guest at the event themed “Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable National Development”. 
The high-level media engagement, which took place at the Patjeda Group Conference Hall, Ikeja, brought together corporate leaders, media practitioners, and key stakeholders to examine the critical role of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in driving inclusive growth, community development, and sustainable national progress.
In his remarks, the Ikeja Council Chairman, Comrade Dauda, commended Patjeda Group for its consistent commitment to responsible corporate citizenship, describing CSR as a vital bridge between government, private enterprises, and host communities. He noted that sustainable development can only be achieved when businesses deliberately align their operations with the social and economic needs of the people.
Comrade Dauda further highlighted the strides of his administration in fostering a business-friendly environment in Ikeja, emphasizing policies and initiatives aimed at strengthening public-private partnerships, supporting small and medium-scale enterprises, and ensuring that corporate activities translate into tangible benefits for residents and businesses within the Local Government.
“As the host community, Ikeja Local Government remains committed to working closely with responsible corporate organizations whose investments and CSR initiatives positively impact our people, enhance social infrastructure, and promote shared prosperity,” the Chairman stated.
He also reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to sustain peace, infrastructural development, and good governance, noting that these remain critical enablers for corporate growth and long-term development.
In attendance at the event with the chairman were the vice chairman, Hon. Abisola Omisore, the Chief of Staff to the Chairman, Chief Adeyi Adeniyi and the councillor representing Ward D, Hon. Idris Salami.
