The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government area, Engr. Mojeed Balogun marked his first 100 days in office with commissioning of projects executed by his administration within the period.

The 100 days in office is the period usually considered a benchmark to measure the early success of any administration. All the challenges in Ikeja may not have disappeared in the first hundred days. Nor will it likely be gone in the life of this
administration, but so far his administration had shown genuine commitment to tackle the problems and reposition Ikeja.

Before his present position, Engr. Mojeed Balogun has been privileged to have served as a Supervisor and twice as Vice Chairman where he garnered so much experience in the art and business of governance at the grassroots.

As a product of grassroots leadership, he has since assumption hit the ground running by embarking on various projects, programmes and activities part of which were donation of free books to pupils of public schools in Ikeja,collaborating with the National Population Commission to register and give out free birth certificates to children in Ikeja LGA and also embarking on various road and drainage constructions (some of which have been completed while others were ongoing).

As part of activities marking his 100 days in office, Engr. Mojeed Balogun showcased two roads (Itohan Street and Regina Coker Street) fixed by his administration within the short period in the saddle.

On hand to commission the Itohan Street road project was Chief Funso Ologunde (Vice-Chairman, APC Lagos-West), while Alhaji Sulukaleen
Oshiberu (CDC Chairman, Ikeja) cut the tape to commission Regina Coker Street.

In a chat with P.M.EXPRESS, Alhaji Sulukaleen Oshiberu (CDC Chairman) expressed his gratitude to the Executive Chairman, Engr. Balogun for the honour. He eulogised the Council boss for carrying along the CDAs in Ikeja in his programmes and prayed for God’s blessings on him and his team at the Council headquarters.

The Executive Chairman, Engr. Mojeed used the occasion to pledge total focus in steering the ship of governance in Ikeja and asked for the cooperation of all in order to achieve a better, cleaner and greater Ikeja.
