The Chairman, of Anambra State Football Association, Chikelue Iloenyosi said his Grassroot Football Development programme in the state is in line with the sports development of Governor Chukwuemeka Soludo.

Iloenyosi, who has hit the ground running since the ratification of his election by the Nigeria Football Federation, has held discussions with the Deputy Governor of the state and other individuals who are interested in the sponsorship of football programmes in the state and its road map.

The Anambra FA chair said he has taken time to study the sports sector and the programme of the government which is more of grassroots development, noting that it will help the state rediscover her lost glory in the sporting industry in the country.

The former Nigeria international was quoted by Wakawaka Sports Extra to have said that he has visited every football competition in the state and discussed with the organizers how to make them better.

Iloenyosi went further to say that the upcoming coaching clinic will help integrate ex-footballers in the state with the modern way of coaching and assist them toward fruitful retirement life.

He equally added that and said the era where ex-footballers are sidelined in the state has gone and they will be an integral part of his administration which will create prosperity for football development in the state.
