Imo Deputy Speaker, Iwuanyanwu Hailed For Donating 100% Of 2 Years Salary To APC Youth Leaders

In his unusual manner and legislative approach to redefining leadership in contemporary political discourse and social engagement,  the member representing Nwangele Constituency; who also doubles as Deputy Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Amarachi Chyna Iwuanyanwu,  yesterday, donated 100 % of his salary to the 11 APC Youth Ward Leaders in Nwangele LGA and four APC LGA Youth Leaders across Nkwerre/Isu/Nwangele/Njaba Federal Constituency; starting from January 2022 till the end of his first tenure in 2023, in his avowed commitment of  practically engaging the youths, dissuading them from social vices, while strengthening the All Progressives Congress, APC, in his immediate Federal Constituency and across Imo State.

The Imo Deputy Speaker, Amara Iwuanyanwu, was accompanied to the office of the APC State Chairman, Dr. Ebere Macdonald Kelechi, by Nwangele LGA Party Chairman, Hon. Chief Philip Okechukwu Uwazuruonye, alongside Imo Commissioner for Youths & Sports, Hon. Dan Ogu, member representing Oru East Constituency, Hon.Chigozie Nwaneri, among other youth leaders of the party in Imo State.

In presenting the salary donation letter, which was copied to the Clerk and Director of  Accounts, Imo State House of Assembly, to the leadership of the APC in Imo State,  as obtained by the writer, with the title: ‘Authority To Pay 100% Of My Salary To The APC Youth Leaders In Njaba, Isu, Nkwerre and Nwangele Federal Constituency’. 

The Deputy Speaker maintained that; “In keeping to his promises and commitment to his people of Nwangele State Constituency, the quadruple Local Government Areas, which constitute his  Federal Constituency and of course, Imo State at large, in ensuring a stronger and a better All Progressive Congress (APC), directed that 100% of his salary as Deputy Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly to be paid to the Eleven (11) APC Youth Leaders of Nwangele State Constituency and Four (4) APC Local Government Youth Leaders of Njaba, Isu, Nkwerre and Nwangele Federal Constituency.

The State Chairman of the APC, Hon. Dr. Macdonald Ebere, alongside members of his Executive, commended the duo of Rt. Hon. Kennedy Ibeh and his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu, for such rare exemplary leadership style which, according to the State Party Boss, is the first of its kind in the annals of history of the Imo State House of Assembly leadership, while enjoining other party stalwarts and stakeholders to emulate them.

He however, promised to keep giving them the needed party support to pilot the affairs of the Assembly under their leadership watch.

Imo Deputy Speaker, Hon Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu, also seized the opportunity the medium had created to thank in no small measures the State Party Chairman, Dr. MacDonald Ebere, and members of his Executive for their leadership tenacity and political sagacity in running a vibrant, inclusive and most friendly political party that shall win future elections in the state.

He also thanked the leader of the party and Imo State Governor, His Excellency, Governor Hope Uzodimma, for giving the youths opportunity to serve in his administration, promising to use his sustained goodwill across party divides in Nwangele LGA nay Federal Constituency to keep galvanizing support for the accelerated growth of the APC in Imo State.
