Imo: PDP Still Playing The Ostrich With Hypocrisy Over Fire Disaster

Posted on April 26, 2022

OGU BUNDU NWADIKE, M.A

The very ugly, sad and unfortunate fire disaster in one of the oil kingdoms of Imo State recently has again forced the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State to display crass irresponsibility via plain hypocrisy.

The party’s amateur media urchins saw reason where there was none to cut their noses in order to spite their noses. They feign oblivious of the severe consequences of their pettiness in regular celebration of what should be mourned.

Ndimo have become used to the dishonesty and insincerity of Imo PDP in the affairs of the State as they pertain to the negatives of the loss of lives and property in whatever way they occur in the State.

And all the show of wickedness and heartlessness by Imo PDP are directly tied to their witchcraft and witch-hunt of their governor, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma and his government.

That’s why, instead of publishing a press statement to commiserate with the Government of Imo State and condole with the families of people that lost loved ones, Imo PDP rolled out their drums to mock the Governor and his Government, and celebrate the death of the dead.

Imo PDP resorted to pouring abuses and insults on Governor Uzodimma by uttering such foolish talk as: “Uzodinma is not qualified to pick plates and spoons when and where governors meet.” Can you imagine that?

It’s only sustainable wickedness, envy, jealousy, anger and agony, pains and pangs by Imo PDP over the loss, defeat and failure that they suffered in the 2019 governorship election, where they entered Douglas House through the back door but were chased away electoral graft of the highest order, that disorganizes their medulla oblongata and thinking faculties to only bad and never see good in the rapidly developing Imo State under the watch of Governor Uzodimma.

Imo PDP illegitimately occupied Douglas House for a little over 200 hundred days. Within the period, Imo PDP ran around the oil kingdom, claiming to be developing the area.

Is it not the hypocrisy of hypocrites that, with the terrible bloody fire disaster in the oil kingdom, Imo PDP deemed it fit to state thus:
“How do you explain that illegal oil refineries exist everywhere in Imo, yet this regime of infamy has done nothing about it?”

The real question should be: “What did the election victory thieves in Imo PDP do to the “illegal oil refineries that exist everywhere in Imo”?

Or did Imo PDP forget that they were once in the position that Imo APC is now, taking charge of affairs in Imo State?

Probably, Imo PDP has conceded that, as their enemies remind them from time to time, Imo PDP was never in Government House, Owerri as the government, following the Supreme Court judgment that disclaimed their candidate/governor as governor.

Maybe Imo PDP has indirectly or directly advised historians never to include Imo PDP as having occupied the Government House of Imo State in 2019.
That means Imo PDP has accepted that Owelle Rochas Okorocha was the governor that Governor Uzodimma succeeded in Douglas House.

That’s because if Imo PDP ever in Douglas House in 2019, were there no “oil refineries everywhere in Imo State”?

Why is it that Imo PDP, now in 2022, scream at the dead and their lost lives and property as if the “oil refineries existing everywhere in Imo State” started existing since 2020 when they were dislodged from Douglas House by the Supreme Court of Nigeria?

In that dishonest and insincere outburst by Imo PDP lies the hypocrisy of hypocrites in Imo PDP, who dig the ground with an axe, thinking about their gains and profits, without factoring in their losses.
It’s a sheer trade in falsehood, propaganda and blackmail for Imo PDP to state thus: “And now an entire community has almost been wiped out by these nefarious activities. Yet, the clueless and roundly inept regime has nothing to do about it!”

Governor Uzodimma’s relevant aides and agents promptly paid a duly hurried visit to the scenes of the fire disaster to see things for themselves on behalf of the governor and his government.
The governor’s aides and agents commiserated and condoled with the dead and the families of the dead, assuring that thorough investigation of the fire disaster will be carried out.

Of course, Imo PDP should have appreciated and commended the governor and his government for their quick response to the fire disaster.
But Imo PDP chose to persevere in seeing the cup of development of the State as half-empty instead of half-full. Such demonic pessimism is rare in modern civilization.
Yet, Imo PDP deceives themselves and impressionable gullible Imolites that they want to return to Douglas House in 2023, from their Douglas Road and Ohi Junction operational bases.

At their best, Imo PDP is populated by pretenders and no contender for any office or position in the 2023 general elections. Their chances of winning any seat in 2023 remains unreliable.
The 2023 general elections may be a general walkover for APC in Imo State. Persistent peddling of lies, falsehood, propaganda and blackmail since 2020 has since deshined Imo PDP in psyche of Ndimo.

While the good people of Imo State continue to commiserate with the governor and his government, and condoling with the families of the deceased, may God Almighty deliver Imo PDP leaders and members from the satanic demons of envy, jealousy, anger and agony, pains and pangs, hatred and malice. In Jesus’s name. Amen!

By God’s grace, Imo State is being rehabilitated, reconstructed and recovered by Governor Uzodimma!!
