Imo Speaker, Collins Secretly Working For Ararume To Unseat Gov Uzodinma – Nwulu Warns

A Political Scientist, frontline politician and a member of the All Progressive Congress, APC, from Oru East Local Government area of Imo State, Dr Nwulu Christopher, has posited that the Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon Collins Chiji, is working clandestinely for Senator Ifeanyi Ararume and Senator Okorocha to unseat Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State.

He made the assertion recently in a telephone conversation while interacting with journalists over what may have been responsible for the recent defection of an APC House of Assembly member to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

According to the European University don, Governor Uzodinma should be careful with the Speaker, whom he described as unfit academically to become a Speaker. He alleged that the Speaker has a track record of disappointing those who helped him to ascend political power. He accused the Speaker of being the brain behind Hon Eddy Obinna, and Hon Otuibe representing Aboh and Ahiazu Mbaise and many other House Members, who defected to APC from the PDP, immediately Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha the former Governor was removed by the Supreme Court.

He also revealed that the Speaker would never be loyal to Gov Uzodinma because of the bond between him and Senator Ararume. He went on to reveal that plan has been perfected to cause House Members to move out of the APC, and also to move a motion of impeachment against Gov Uzodinma in a bid to show solidarity to Senator Ararume and Senator Okorocha.

Dr Nwulu also posited in his litany of accusations that the Speaker is an unfriendly friend that should be avoided like a plague because of his nature. He therefore, called on the Imo APC House Members to rally support for the Governor, who he described as a result oriented person doing everything within his capacity to move Imo State to enviable heights.

Efforts made by some journalists to reach out to the Speaker as at the time of filling this report proved abortive as his mobile phone lines were out of reach.
