The Independent Media Support Organization, IMSO has finalized every arrangement to organise a one day get-together for all the journalists in Anambra State ahead of Gov Willie Obiano’s inauguration.

The event tagged: Concerned Anambra Media Practitioners Summit, CAMP 2018, has the theme : Role of Media in Sustaining Productive Governance.
The Summit is scheduled to take place on the 14th of March, 2018, at Cosmila Hotels Conference Hall, Okpuno, Awka.

The National Coordinator of IMSO, Comrade Harris Chuma while briefing newsmen said it would be a veritable opportunity to x-ray, highlight and understudy various achievements of Gov Obiano during his first term. Ogbuefi Chuma noted that the programme which will attract many dignitaries across various walks of life will set the agenda for the new dispensation.

Chuma, who restated the loyalty of the group to the present administration stressed that the group will further reinforce its supportive strength to Gov Obiano as he commences his second term in office on March 18, 2018.

According to him, “Obiano has done nobly well in his first term. Even though some may not be satisfied with his achievements, this programme will analyse and critique his administration and proffer solutions where necessary.
“This is the time for good governance. We will recall that Gov Obiano in his first term, promised to provide good governance. Since then, he has been working tirelessly to entrench good governance. Today, Anambra has recorded a paradigm shift in governance, courtesy of Obiano.
“Improving governance is one of the essential elements of realizing the dream of a strong system, achieving greater impact. Good governance enables the effective use of  information, human resources, and finances to deliver better performance. Governance is the process of decision-making and the process by which decisions are implemented (or not implemented)”, Chuma explained.

While commending Obiano for his tremendous achievements, Harris solicited for maximum support to enable the governor transform the state. “There are various potentials that were yet to be harnessed.  Agulu Resort Hotel has been achieved. We need to harness the Ogbunike Cave. It has economic and employment values for the state. This and other developments are in the administrative blueprint of the present government,” Chuma noted.
