IOC, NOC Hold 2-Day Training For Nigerian Sports Journalists In Lagos
The Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) have concluded plans to hold a 2-day training for sports journalists across Nigeria.
P.M. EXPRESS reports that the training will hold from 27 -28 April, 2021 at the NOC building, inside the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
According to the Public Relations Officer of the NOC, Phemmy Adetula, the training holds from 9am – 5pm on Day One, while on the second day, it holds 9am-3pm.
He said the organisers expect participants from Lagos and outside Lagos who are expected to attend both physically or online.
Adetula said: “The aim of the training is to update colleagues on the latest trend of reporting a multi-sports event such as the Olympics as courses will cover Prints, Radio and TV, Production and Multimedia.
“Attendance is compulsory for any participant that registers either physically or online because IOC/NOC will award a Certificate of Attendance.
“The NOC boardroom can accommodate 20 participants physically because of the Covid 19 rules. Meaning priority will be given to our three instructors and the eight accredited colleagues from Lagos.
“There will be a tea break and possibly lunch as well.
“Kindly, register and notify me via this email address- nocnews2@gmail.com with name of the journalist, organisation, state and physical or online.”
